Western Illinois University has been honored as a 2024 ALL IN Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge. This recognition celebrates the university’s commitment to increasing nonpartisan student voter participation. WIU is one of 471 institutions acknowledged for completing essential actions like participating in the challenge, sharing voting data, and developing an engagement action plan.
Interim President Kristi Mindrup expressed pride in promoting civic engagement and pledged to continue boosting student voter turnout. This initiative is part of a national effort involving over 1,075 institutions aimed at enhancing student involvement in democratic processes.
