Community Pharmacy Open for Business

SHARE NOW

The McDonough District Hospital in Macomb has officially opened its new Community Pharmacy after 20 months of construction, a project initially delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This $8 million investment seeks to enhance local healthcare by providing a full-service pharmacy right in front of the hospital, complete with a convenient drive-thru.

Residents of west-central Illinois are offered a broad range of services including medication synchronization, therapy management, and even veterinary prescriptions. The facility is set to operate seven days a week, aiming to provide unparalleled customer service. The local economy benefits from all revenue staying within the community. The addition of Bold Brew House Co. inside the pharmacy offers a unique blend of healthcare and refreshment services, making this new establishment a cornerstone of community health and wellness.

The nearly 10,000 square foot building (9,845 square feet) is located just south of the Hospital’s main entrance (official address of 533 East Grant Street). To use the Pharmacy Drive-Thru feature, patients must enter on the south side of the building and will exit to the north.

Local coffee business Bold Brew House has a walk-up window inside the Community Pharmacy building. Coffee and select specialty drinks are available weekdays at the newly opened Bold Brew House Co. 533 (Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.).
