The City of Macomb is pleased to announce a visit from 17th District Congressman Eric Sorensen on Tuesday, August 6th, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to tour, discuss and support a critical storm sewer initiative aimed at addressing significant infrastructure needs within the community. The press conference will be held in the Community Room of Macomb City Hall.
The proposed storm sewer project aims to replace the existing system, which has been unable to handle increased storm flows, leading to frequent flooding. The new system, estimated to cost $2 million, will mitigate flooding, enhance stormwater management efficiency, and significantly improve public health and safety. Congressman Sorensen has requested $1,600,000 in Community Project Funding for FY 2025 on behalf of the City of Macomb for this vital project.
The public is encouraged to attend.
