The Macomb Police Department, in partnership with the state and local branches of the NAACP and the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police (ILACP), is hosting a World Café on Thursday, October 9th. The event will be held at WIU, in the University Union’s Lamoine Room, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
The event is a natural progression after signing and reaffirming the 10 Shared Principles. The World Café is an interactive experience with community leaders, WIU students, members of the community, and anyone that has an interest in the 10 Shared Principles. The event will cover the principles’ creation, application today by police and the community, as well as healthy, respectful conversation.
