On August 27th, 2024, the Macomb Police Department received a report of a missing person. It was reported that Joseph E. Beranek (46 years old, white male, Macomb, IL) had not been seen by family since August 21st.
During an investigation into Beranek’s whereabouts, it was determined Beranek had driven to Black Hawk State Park, in Rock Island, Illinois sometime around 8-21-2024. His vehicle was located at the park by local law enforcement and an extensive search of the area was conducted with negative results.
