Memorial Hospital to Host “More Good Days Together,”

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Memorial Hospital’s Evergreen Center is inviting area seniors, ages 60 and over, to participate in a special interactive class designed to promote overall well-being, connection, and healthy living.

The class, titled “More Good Days Together,” will take place on Thursday, May 28th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memorial Hospital Health & Wellness Center, located at 1454 N. Co. Rd. 2050 in Carthage.

This engaging session will focus on helping individuals optimize their health and happiness in retirement. Participants will learn about the Healthy Habits of the Blue Zones, regions known for longevity, through a combination of nutrition education, physical activity, and the importance of social connections. The class will also include a hands-on experience in the Teaching Kitchen, where attendees will prepare a nutritious meal together.

This class, hosted by Memorial Hospital Dietitians in collaboration with the Evergreen Center, will emphasize the important connections among physical health, mental well-being, and community engagement, especially for older adults.

The class is designed for adults near retirement age. Space is limited, and registration is required. To register or learn more, please visit MHTLC.ORG or call 217-357-6540.
