    Portions of north central, northwest, and west central Illinois, east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.

    Until 8 PM CDT Monday.
    IMPACTS
    Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Heat impacts will be worsened by several consecutive days of sweltering temperatures. Additionally, there will be little relief overnight with near record warm lows forecast in the mid to upper 70s.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Schuyler Co Sheriff Bill Redshaw reports the following activity in Schuyler Co for the week of July 3rd to July 10th:

July 4

  • Sidney Kettering of Rushville was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Pick-Up and was attempting to leave the Schuyler CO Fairgrounds and accelerated by mistake and hit the rear of Todd Shaw of Troy who was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Pick-Up, which made Shaw hit Jeff Bauman who was driving a 2021 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, then Bauman hit Amber Bauman of Fowler who was driving a 2014 Ford Utility. No injuries were reported
  • Raissa Astride of Beardstown was driving a 2013 Ford Utility and backed into Camry Sears of Mt. Sterling who was driving a 2015 Jeep Utility at the Schuyler Co Fairgrounds

July 5

  • Kevin Morales of Beardstown was arrested on a Schuyler Co Warrant with a bond amount of $250 cash, Morales posted bond and was released

July 6

  • Michael LeBegue of Rushville was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and struck a deer on RT67 near McDonough Co Line

July 7

  • Kialee Smith of Rushville was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox and struck a deer on RT24 near Kalebaugh Rd
  • Amelia Wolfe of Macomb was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and struck a deer on RT 101 near Center Rd

July 8

  • David McCormick of Rushville was cited for No Valid Driver’s License July 9

July 9

  • Gail Self of Beardstown was cited for Escape/Failure to Report to a Penal Institution
