Spoon River College is launching a Cannabis Horticulture class this spring, designed to prepare students for careers in the burgeoning cannabis industry. Starting January 22nd, this 12-week program includes comprehensive training in key areas such as soil science, pest management, and cannabinoid testing.
Participants will benefit from both online lessons and practical lab exercises under the guidance of SRC biology expert, Thomas Vogel. In addition to weekly classes, the curriculum features field trips to local cannabis facilities. With sponsorship from Nature’s Grace and Wellness, the course offers reduced fees and a scholarship opportunity for one student per semester.
