    Very cold wind chills as low as 20 to 30 below.

    Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east central and southeast Iowa.

    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.

According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.

On Feb. 7 at 4:51 p.m., one student was judicially referred for cannabis in Thompson Hall.

On Feb. 8 at 5:25 p.m., a student reported damage to her vehicle that occurred in the parking lot of Corbin Hall. Damage was estimated at $1,500. The incident is under investigation.

On Feb. 11 at 3:46 a.m. Hallie Furnald, 20, of Galesburg, IL, was arrested in the Thompson Hall drive for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 5:27 a.m. where she was lodged pending bond.

On Feb. 12 at 12:38 a.m. Brooklyn Rice, 19, of 1337 Thompson Hall, was arrested in Thompson Hall on an active McDonough County warrant. She was transferred to the McDonough County Jail at 1:25 a.m. where she was lodged pending bond.

On Feb. 12 at 9:28 a.m. Marc Jones, 19, of 713 Washington Hall, was arrested in Washington Hall on an active McDonough County warrant. He was transferred to the McDonough County Jail at 9:40 a.m. where she was lodged pending bond.

On Feb. 12 at 3:56 p.m. Bridgette Evans, 20, of 302 Olson Hall, was arrested in Olson Hall on an active McDonough County warrant. She was transferred to the McDonough County Jail at 4:05 p.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
