Wethersfield High School’s Emersyn Nelson, a senior excelling in both volleyball and basketball, has been named the Positive Student-Athlete for December. Over her four-year tenure, Emersyn has distinguished herself through her leadership and steadfast dedication, significantly impacting her teams and school environment positively. Her ability to excel on the court and maintain a strong academic record while fostering a constructive atmosphere among her peers has been pivotal in her earning this accolade. Emersyn’s commitment extends beyond sports, influencing her fellow students in various aspects of school life at Wethersfield. Alongside her, Katelyn Carman was voted Student of the Month by Wethersfield staff because of her outstanding perseverance, work ethic, determination, and striving to overcome obstacles. Both students exemplify the core value of perseverance, inspiring their peers to overcome challenges with grace and determination.
