Prairie Chicken Arts Festival has announced the winners of its Student Window Art contest, with Wethersfield High School taking the top honor. Committee members Dianne Packee, Deidre Scott, and Laura Peed presented Liz Kegebein with a $300 check for the first-place prize for their creative work, which will be on display during July 2025. Organizers noted that coordinating the celebration takes extra planning, especially once the academic year is underway. The contest aims to showcase young talent and bolster community appreciation for the arts. Festival leaders say they’re thrilled by the participation and look forward to revealing more student artwork next summer in downtown storefronts.
