Wethersfield Kindergarten students wrapped up a successful lemonade stand fundraiser on May 6th, raising over $600 for the Kewanee Food Pantry. The event took place outside Wethersfield Elementary School and saw strong support from the community, including the yearly visit by the Kewanee Fire and Police Departments. Children staffed the stand with enthusiasm, serving drinks and encouraging donations to help local families in need. Organizers expressed gratitude for the generosity of all those who stopped by. The funds collected will directly aid the Kewanee Food Pantry’s ongoing efforts to provide food assistance to the community. This marks another positive example of young students making a tangible difference locally.
