Wethersfield students from two local carpentry classes teamed up to rebuild a shed for a business devastated by last summer’s tornado. Taking on the project, the young builders practiced essential skills, including framing, siding, and installing soffit and fascia, all while working together to restore a vital community asset. Their hard work transformed what was once storm debris into a sturdy, functional new structure. Instructors say the effort offered a real-world classroom, giving students practical experience and a deep sense of pride in making a positive difference in their own backyard. The local business owner expressed gratitude for their dedication.
