The Bishop Hill Heritage Association in Illinois hosts an interesting program, ‘Wild Boar to Baconfest: Pigs in History and Popular Culture’ on April 20, 2024. Cynthia Clampitt, the author and lecturer, will shed light on the impact of pigs and pork worldwide, particularly in the Midwest. The free public program starts at 1 p.m. at the Steeple Building Museum on 103 North Bishop Hill Street.
