MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – Western Illinois University has announced both the Macomb and Moline campuses will remain open despite a weather advisory being announced for the region that will be in effect Thursday, December 22nd through Saturday, December 24th.
The WIU Campus Recreation Center will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 22nd.
Additionally, Corbin and Olson commons, two of WIU’s residence halls on the Macomb campus have been designated as warming centers for area residents. They will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for anyone in need of a place to warm up, with drinking and water refilling stations located on the first floors.
