    Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east central and southeast Iowa.

    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

WIU Interim President Mindrup to Deliver Inaugural Address

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL –  Western Illinois University has announced that Interim President Kristi Mindrup will delivering her first remarks to the University community on Wednesday, April 10th from 10-10:30 a.m. in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

During her address, Mindrup’s remarks will focus on University priorities, opportunities and future vision for Western Illinois University. Mindrup begins her stewardship following the resignation of former president Dr. Guiyou Huang, who officially departed from the university on March 31st.

All faculty, staff, students and members of the community are invited to attend this in-person event, which will also be live streamed on WIU’s official YouTube channel.
