The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.
According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.
On Aug. 24 at 12:01 a.m. John Paul Smith, 20, of 323 Olson Hall, was arrested on an active warrant for failure to appear. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 12:07 a.m. where he was lodged pending bond.
On Aug. 24 at 2 a.m. Camille Husko, 21, of 101 Reeveston Dr., was arrested at the intersection of Charles Street and Orchard Street for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 3:20 a.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
On Aug. 24 at 4:02 a.m. Eric Powell, 20, of 1217 Thompson Hall, was arrested at the intersection of Western Avenue and Murray Street for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 5:50 a.m. where he was lodged pending bond.
On Aug 24 at 10:50 p.m. a student reported theft of her front license plate between the dates of Aug. 21 to Aug.24 the incident is under investigation.
On Aug. 25 at 1:56 a.m. nonstudent Samantha Williams, 20, of Country Club Hills, was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license in the 900 block of West University Drive. She was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 2:06 a.m. where she was lodged pending bond.
On Aug. 25 at 1:55 p.m. OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Thompson Hall. No smoke or fire were found and no injuries were reported.
