MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University has announced that the miniature ceramic “Rocky” dog figurines that were created for the Homecoming 2022 scavenger hunt, are being auctioned in the third annual Rocky Dog Silent Auction taking place Monday, December 12th through Wednesday, December 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the University Union Brattain Lounge.
In total, twenty ceramic dogs were created for the campus scavenger hunt by WIU students from the Kappa Pi art honors society, as well as WIU faculty, staff, and local children.
Bidding for the figurines begins at $5 and will increase in $5 increments, with proceeds from the event to benefit the Little Rocky Dog on Parade Foundation account that assists the artists with costs to create the dogs as well as other projects.
