Young Welders Shine at The Black Hawk College 7th Annual T-Joint Fillet Weld Invitational

The 7th Annual T-Joint Fillet Weld Invitational hosted by Black Hawk College proved to be an exhilarating showcase of young welding talent. Held at the college’s Welding and Skilled Trades Center in downtown Kewanee, 37 students from five area high schools put their skills to the test. Sherrard High School continued its winning streak, securing both first and second places in the team competition, while Kewanee High School took third. Top individual honors went to Braydin McNall of Sherrard High School. The event, sponsored by Martin Engineering, served as a platform for the next generation of welders.
