White House declines to disclose specific details of Trump’s health imaging

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The White House on Wednesday declined to provide specific details of medical images that doctors took of President Donald Trump’s body during a physical a month ago, but said the exam showed he was in exceptional health.

Trump, 79, had previously disclosed that he underwent a magnetic resonance imaging exam while at Walter Reed medical center on October 10, but neither he nor the White House has said which part of his body was scrutinized.

Doctors prescribe MRIs for detailed images of the spine, heart and vascular system, brain, knees and other parts of the body. Trump’s took place on what was his second physical examination of the year.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, asked by reporters for more details on the MRI, did not say what doctors were examining.

“The full results were reviewed by attending radiologists and consultants, and all agreed that President Trump remains in exceptional physical health,” Leavitt said.

The imaging was done as part of a routine exam, she said, though MRIs are not part of a traditional physical.
