(Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced Casey Means will be nominated as the next Surgeon General of the United States of America, according to a post on Truth Social.
Means, 37, is a close adviser to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and a vocal proponent of his “Make America Healthy Again” agenda.
She is a co-founder of the health tech company Levels, which uses data from continuous glucose monitors.
As the nation’s doctor, the surgeon general provides Americans with the best scientific information available on how to improve their health and reduce risk of illness and injury.
