Another CO2 pipeline withdraws

This week, Wolf Carbon Solutions filed a motion with the Illinois Commerce Commission to voluntarily withdraw its application to construct a CO2 pipeline through nine Illinois counties.

The withdrawal marks the second time a CO2 pipeline company has withdrawn an application; Navigator CO2 Ventures similarly withdrew its application twice for its now canceled project. Pipeline opponents say they plan to re-intervene in opposition to the pipeline if Wolf Carbon Solutions re-files a new application.

Woman in custody after stabbing

Two young children were taken to the hospital after they were stabbed at a Lisle home.

According to police, officers were called to a home after a person told police that there was an individual armed with a knife and that his two children were bleeding. Police found the children, ages 4 and 1, with stab wounds.

A woman in the home was taken into custody without incident.

Chicago to host The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones will include a stop in Illinois during their North American tour next year.

The rock legends announced that during their “Hackney Diamonds” tour, they will perform at Soldier Field in Chicago on June 27. General ticket sales will begin Dec. 1.

Frontman Mick Jagger recently turned 80 years old and guitarist Keith Richards will soon join him at that age. Ironically, the show is sponsored by AARP.
