(The Center Square) – In today’s edition of Illinois in Focus Daily, The Center Square Editor Greg Bishop discusses the enactment of a bill Gov. J.B. Pritzker says ushers in a world class mass transit system. Opponents say the measure allows for increased taxes and tolls, while also diverting road fund money away from downstate.

Bishop also provides comments from Illinois Manufacturers’ Association President and CEO Mark Denzler urging Gov. J.B. Pritzker to veto a measure on his desk Denzler said will increase costs on utility ratepayers without fully addressing supply and demand issues amid already increasing costs.

Finally, Bishop talks live with Illinois state Rep. Jed Davis, R-Yorkville, about his continued push for accountability of the Department of Children and Family Service’s position on the use of interns to investigate child welfare cases.
