The Sea Isle City Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call Tuesday morning of an unconscious person on the roadside at the 3700 block of Central Avenue. First responders arrived on scene after the call was received just before 6:30am and found no vital signs from the 49-year-old man. There were no physical signs of trauma according to police. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office sent a forensic nurse who proclaimed the man as deceased. The man was transported to the Southern Region Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of his death. Authorities did not reveal the man’s identity until next-of-kin could be notified.
