Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Chief Michael Emmer, in conjunction with the OPS Network, have announced the relaunch of its Special Needs Registry. The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Needs Registry has been implemented to ensure that all residents who have special needs receive the help and support they need during the time of an emergency or during an interaction with law enforcement.

The Special Needs Registry is a voluntary service open to all citizens and was created to help police officers better assist residents with special needs in the event of an emergency or law enforcement interaction by providing police with vital information such as details about each registrant’s disability, emergency contact information, a physical description and a current photograph of the registrant.

Visit the link below for more information and to register. Once you have entered your information, it will be available to all participating law enforcement agencies.

For further details, please refer to the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Community Interface at www.cmcpros.net. Once there, scroll to the Special Needs Registry towards the bottom of the page and click “Learn More.”
