1941-2024
Carol Ann Roberts, age 82, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, formerly of Blandinsville passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
She was born in Burlington, Iowa on October 13, 1941 to Earl R. Walker and Evelyn Thompson Walker. She married Robert "Whitey" Roberts on July 30, 1960 in Blandinsville.
Surviving are two sons, Jim (Debbie) Roberts of Plymouth and Jason (Amber) Roberts of Lee's Summit, Missouri, one daughter, Jackie (Scott) Murphy of Lee's Summit, Missouri. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Jeff Roberts of Colchester.
She lived her early life in Burlington, Iowa, then lived in Blandinsville after marriage from 1960-1997. Carol lived in Macomb from 1997-2018 then moved to Lee's Summit.
She was a hard working and caring mother. She enjoyed her time in the stands attending all of her children's events. Carol loved her Shih Tzu dogs Moppy (deceased) and Muffin. She helped her husband run Whitey's Used Cars in Blandinsville for 35 years. After that, she spent time volunteering at McDonough District Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 8 ,2024 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Rev. A Lee Unger will be officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Monday ,January 8, 2024 at the funeral home.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of ashes will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to the McDonough District Hospital.
