    Very cold wind chills around 20 below.

    Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east central, northeast, and southeast Iowa.

    Until 2 AM CST Wednesday.
    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 20 to 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Ronald Foxall
1953-2024

Ronald Ray Foxall, 71, of Macomb passed away at 5:41 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2024 at St. Johns Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born on March 18, 1953 in Macomb to Ray O. and F. Pauline Pollock Foxall.

He is survived by his daughters, Paula (William) Kinne of Vermont and Heidi (Adam) Goeken of Iowa City, Iowa; three grandchildren, Jenna Kinne of Astoria, Adeline Goeken of Iowa City and James Goeken of Iowa City, Iowa and three sisters, Diana White of Macomb, Linda (Fred) Smith of Bushnell and Judy (Roy) Johlfs of Macomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Nicholas Foxall; one step-son, Steven Waughtel and two sisters, Rita Vos and Nancy Rittenhouse.

Ronald lived all of his life in the Macomb area. He was a graduate of Macomb High School. He worked as a laborer  for many years working out of Local 231. He as an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and loved watching Saturday Night Live.

Funeral services will be held at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb.on Monday , November 25,2024 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Jon Keck will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services. Private family burial of ashes will be held in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Ron Foxall Memorial Fund.
