Scott Sullivan

Scott Reynolds Sullivan, 67, of Macomb, formerly of Industry passed away at 6:35 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Grand Prairie Assisted Living Center in Macomb.

He was born on May 6, 1956 to Kent and Maryann (Stoner) Sullivan in Macomb, Illinois. After graduating from Industry High School, Scott went on to become a self-employed paint contractor for the better part of five decades

in 1982, Scott met Sonya Smith and was married that same year. Scott and Sonya went on to have four children together, Jeremiah Sullivan of Knoxville, Illinois, Ashley Gordon of Knoxville, Illinois, Caleb Sullivan of Galesburg, Illinois, and Dulcie Burrows of Lewistown, Illinois.

Scott loved to attend sprint car races at local dirt tracks, fish with his friend, Dave Haney of Industry, Illinois, ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his friend, Steve Onion of Industry, Illinois, enjoyed spending time with his long-time friend, Jerry Lewis of Good Hope, Illinois, and spending time with his friends and family. Scott had a compassion for people, with a willingness to always ensure others around him were taken care of and had an infectious smile and laugh that would light up every room that he would walk into. Scott was always known for his ability to tell funny jokes and pull funny pranks on his friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Kent Sullivan, his step-father, Edgar Stoner, and his younger sister, Pamela Reuter (Sullivan).

Scott is survived by his mother, Maryann Stoner of Galesburg, Illinois, his brother, Bruce (Gayla) Sullivan of Bushnell, Illinois, his brother, Mark (Janet) Sullivan of Industry, Illinois, his sister, Ann (Randy) Hopping of Ellisville, Illinois, his son, Jeremiah (Kristin) Sullivan of Knoxville, Illinois, his daughter, Ashley (Matt) Gordon of Knoxville, Illinois, his son, Caleb Sullivan of Galesburg, Illinois, and his daughter, Dulcie (Brent) Burrows of Lewistown, Illinois, his seven grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews.

.Cremation rites have been accorded. Grave side burial of ashes and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Industry Cemetery with Pastor Cody Stinnett officiating.
