January 8
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4 th Street for a subject having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2 nd Street to assist a citizen who left a wallet on a vehicle
and drove away. Officer drove around and was not able to locate the wallet.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva DP to answer questions about an impounded vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to a residence just NW of town for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be
a complaint about a reckless driver.
Officer drove around to several residences and requested that they move their vehicles for the snow
plows, per city ordinance.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street to assist Kewanee PD with locating a vehicle
owner in reference to an incident in their city. Contact was made.
January 9
Officer assisted Henry Co with a three vehicle accident about 3 miles west of town on Route 34.
Officer went to several residences to get vehicle owners to move their vehicles for the snow plows.
Officer assisted Stark Co Medic with a subject that had fallen on ice at Sentry Estates.
While patrolling, officer located a subject that slid off the roadway in the 00 block of Wallace Street. A
friend was contacted and pulled the subject out. No damage was reported.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined
to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to Route 34 just east of town for a disabled vehicle complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 3 rd Street for a loud noise complaint. It was determined to
be a lost dog complaint. The dog was located by it’s owner.
January 10

Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 4 th Street for a welfare check. The subject was located and
was fine.
Officer went to a residence in the 600 block of NW 7 th Street in reference to a parking issue, due to the
recent snowstorm. The owner agreed to move vehicle.
Officer went to two Galva addresses attempted to locate a runaway juvenile for Peoria Co. Officer was
not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 2 nd Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be
a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with an intoxicated motorist that went into the ditch several
miles East of Galva on Route 34. The subject was transported to Galva PD for DUI processing and then
taken to the Henry Co Jail.
January 11
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 5 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. The owners were
warned about the Illinois leash law.
Officer spoke to a subject at the Galva PD about a residential burglary that occurred recently in the 00
block of NW 3 rd Street. This remains under investigation.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4 th Street to speak to a subject that appeared to be having
a mental health crisis.
January 12
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 6 th Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was located.
Officer assisted the Street Dept with getting several vehicles moved from the roadways for snow
plowing.
January 13
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 8 th Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. IT was determined to
be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to check on a plow truck that was reportedly in the ditch about 3 miles south of
Galva on Route 17.
January 14
Officer was dispatched to the several vehicles stuck in the roadway complaints within a short drive of
Galva. Officer was able to assist a few and not able to make it to others.
Officer was dispatched to the NE 2 nd Street railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was
contacted for repairs.

As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of North Center Ave, Morgon McCaw, 25, Cambridge, was
cited for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for no insurance. He was released with a
required court date.
Officer was dispatched to assist Knox County with a single vehicle rollover accident near the Galva
Cemetery. A male occupant was arrested for DUI by Knox Co.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2 nd Street to check the welfare of a cat that was posted on
Facebook outside in the cold weather.
Officer was dispatched to the NE 6 th Ave railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was
contacted for repairs.
Officer assisted the ambulance with a juvenile subject that stuck their tongue to a metal pole on SE 3 rd
Street.
