January 16
Officer was flagged down in the 400 block of NE 6th Ave in reference to an ongoing harassment issue.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 3rd Ave for a loud music complaint.
January 17
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Center Ave, Skye Greene, 33, Cambridge, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
January 18
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a truck driver waiting at ethanol plant. It was a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 3rd Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be phone issues.
Officer was dispatched to an activated alarm in the 200 block of SW 2nd Ave. It was determined to be a false alarm.
January 19
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD in reference to receiving documents from a freedom of information act (FOIA) request.
Officer spoke to a resident by phone to answer questions about an upcoming court date.
January 20
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to a business downtown in reference to an exterior door that was found open. The owner was contacted and secured the door.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a parking complaint. The suspect vehicle was gone upon officer’s arrival.
Officer assisted Stark Co Medic with gaining entry into a house on SE 6th Ave for a medical emergency.
January 21
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of North Center Ave to assist a citizen.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to investigate the odor of natural gas in the 100 block of Exchange Street. The leak was located and Ameren shut gas off.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 4th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was an accidental dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2nd Street for a complaint involving three dead squirrels in the roadway. They were removed.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 2nd Street for a complaint involving a vehicle door found open. It appeared a family member may have forgotten to shut door. Nothing was missing.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a complaint on Route 34 several miles east of town involving subjects shooting AR-15 style weapons late at night in their yard.
January 22
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 6th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. IT was determined to be a young child playing with a phone. No emergency.
Officer was dispatched to the railroad tracks near Trolley Road to attempt to locate a subject that had been involving in a domestic dispute and was now lost and cold. Officer found the subject. This was handled by Stark Co Medic.
