February 12
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 7th Ave for an activated medical alarm. Officer was able to gain entry and found a subject that had fallen. Stark Co Medic also responded.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 9th Street to assist Stark Co Medic with gaining entry into a
residence after an activated medical alarm. Entry was gained.
February 13
Officer was notified that Stark Co had dropped off a Galva resident at his parent’s house and they had refused him due to his intoxication. The subject was walking around the area but didn’t cause any
further issues.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Lincoln House for a parking complaint involving a vehicle parked in a handicap parking spot. The vehicle in question had a handicap placard hanging from rearview mirror.
No enforcement action taken.
Officer responded to Woodhull to assist a Henry Co deputy that had requested emergency assistance with a combative subject that was fighting him. The subject was ultimately tased and arrested by Henry
Co.
Officer was dispatched to an activated burglar alarm in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street. It was determined
to be a false alarm.
February 14
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 2nd Street to deliver a message to a residence from the Henry Co Animal Control Warden. The message was relayed.

As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of South Exchange Street, Kelly Smithson, 46, Galva, was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license- expired more than one year. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad crossing for a crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
February 15
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 5th Ave to assist a citizen.
February 16
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave to assist Stark Co Medic with a subject
that had fallen.
February 17
While patrolling, officer checked on a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of SW 1st Ave and SW 2nd Street. A subject was chasing a loose dog.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street, Gustavo Acevedo Medina, 57, Kewanee, was arrested for being out-of-compliance for his sex offender registry. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a neighbor dispute.
February 18
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 7th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a
mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 2nd Street for a loose dog complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street for a gas drive off complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street to deliver a message for Kewanee PD. No contact was made.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 6th Street to check the welfare of a subject. The subject
was found deceased. The Coroner was contacted to respond.

Natalie Muckey, 38, Wataga, was issued citations for having expired registration and operating an uninsured vehicle in the 900 block of NW 6th Street.
February 14
Vickie Piper, 58, Dunlap, was issued a citation for speeding on Route 17 just north of the cemetery.
February 18
Steven Ochs, 43, Cambridge, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 800 block of
West Division Street.
