March 27
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a trespassing complaint. Officer searched the residence and was not able to locate the offender. Complaint unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 3rd Ave for a burglary and theft complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 8th Ave for a 9-1-1 call that was plotting there. Officer spoke to a subject, who had an accidental pocket dial.
March 28
Officer was dispatched to meet a resident at the Galva PD in reference to a harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave for a possible prowler complaint.
March 29
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave for a loud music complaint.
The Galva K9 team was requested to assist Stark Co on a traffic stop on Route 78 near Tuckers Equipment Sales. Various illegal drugs were found and six people were arrested by Stark Co as the result.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 3rd Ave for a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a complaint involving threatening text messages and social media posts.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of NW 5th Street, Athalia Empson, 20, Kewanee, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave for a complaint involving a suspicious incident.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Center Ave, Aleiah Schinkey, 21, Galva, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle with suspended registration. She was released with a required court date.
March 30
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street to check the welfare of a resident. They were fine.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of West Division Street, John Bainbridge, 55, Galva, was cited for not having a valid drivers license (more than a year). He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 3rd Ave to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a complaint involving a subject nearly struck by a vehicle during a disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street for a gas drive off complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the railroad tracks on NE 6th Ave for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
March 31
Officer was dispatched to the downtown area to attempt to locate a dog running loose. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched just north of Galva to assist with traffic control for storm related damage to power lines and a grain bin that was destroyed.
April 1
Officer, along with Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a medical emergency on SE 2nd Ave. The subject was determined to be deceased after life-saving efforts were unsuccessful. The coroner was contacted.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street to speak to a citizen in regards to suspicious activity in the 400 block of North Center Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave for a suspicious person complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9th Street for a prowler complaint.
Officer assisted Kewanee PD with a call for assistance after a fight involving a subject being beaten and stabbed to death.
April 2
Officer attempted a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Center Ave with a revoked driver. The driver fled and a short pursuit ensued. As the result, Thomas Watson, 62, Galva, was arrested in the 200 block of NE 4th Ave for felony driving while license revoked, aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude, and two counts of disobeying a stop sign. He was taken to the Galva PD for processing and then taken to the Henry Co jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a civil property dispute.
Officer was dispatched again to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a civil property dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. IT was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the NE 6th Ave railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a verbal disturbance in the street.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave for a complaint involving threats through text message.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a complaint involving threats to destroy property.

Pamela Godsil, 50, Knoxville, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street.

Betty Ringel, 88, Lafayette, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 100 block of Market Street.
Irakli Ratiani, 41, Ohio, was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of SE 2nd Street.
