April 3
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 4th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a complaint involving a subject burning cabinets and other prohibited items on a non burn day. As the result, Rebecca Muckey, 33, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for a violation of the city burning ordinance.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street, Carl Girkin, 59, Lafayette, was arrested for driving while license revoked and operating a vehicle with expired registration. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave for an open door / trespassing complaint. Officer checked the residence and didn’t locate anyone inside and nothing was missing. The door was secured.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street, Larry Anderson, 71, Bradford, was arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition without a valid FOID card, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, operating an uninsured vehicle, and illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver. A passenger, Salinda Moats, 52, Bradford, was issued a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger. They were both released with court dates.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 700 block of North Center Ave, Stephanie Mullins, 34, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating a vehicle without a required BAIID device. She was released with a required court date.
April 4
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a verbal disturbance. The subjects were advised to keep it down.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to gather information about a relative that was having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a landlord / tenant dispute.
Officer assisted the Annawan PD with attempting to locate a subject that lost a backpack in their jurisdiction. The subject no longer lives in Galva.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of SW 3rd Street and SW 3rd Ave for a report of a male subject screaming. The subject went into a house and shut lights off.
April 5
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Burlington Road for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for multiple 9-1-1 calls that plotted there. Officer located a subject who was having phone problems.
Officer was dispatched three times to 115 SE 3rd Street for civil property disputes / and a civil stand by to retrieve property.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 7th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with a traffic stop on Route 34 east of town.
April 6
Officer was dispatched to assist Kewanee PD with attempting to locate a vehicle and driver from a private property accident that occurred there. The subject was located and agreed to contact Kewanee PD for further instruction.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of West Division Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer went to the 100 block of Market Street for a city ordinance violation.
Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about a possible violation of an order of protection against a family member.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was confirmed to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of North Center Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 3rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was a mis dial.
April 7
Officer was dispatched to assist Stark Co with a vehicle search using our k9 on Route 78 near the Route 34 junction east of town.
Officer was notified about a large controlled burn taking place in the 300 block of NE 9th Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 4th Ave for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 7th Ave for a domestic disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the railroad tracks on SW 4th Ave for a report involving children playing near the tracks. They were spoken to an advised of the dangers.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Center Ave, Randall Barlow, 74, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 4th Street for a loose dog complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave for a suspicious vehicle complaint.
April 8
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of NE 2nd Ave, Nicole Palmer, 40, Galva, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI over +.08%, operating an uninsured vehicle, and no rear registration plate light. She was taken to the Henry Co jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 8th Ave for a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 5th Ave for a loud noise complaint.
April 9
Officer assisted Kewanee PD with reports of several stolen vehicles and a burglary complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NE 5th Street to retrieve a lost cell phone. It was returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for two loose dogs that had been contained. The owner arrived and took the dogs back home.

Michael McCann, 29, Altona, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street.
April 9
Mary Thomas, 19, Worth, IL, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street.
