While patrolling, officer located a vehicle in the 900 block of West Division Street that was parked but had headlights on and dome light on late at night. Nobody was around. Officer secured the car.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 3rd Street for a loose dog complaint. Officer recognized the dog and returned it to it’s owner in the 400 block of North Center Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of South Center Ave for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to assist Knox Co with transporting a transient that was walking from California to Germany. Subject was transported several miles north of Galva as he wanted to go towards I-80 on his journey.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave for a civil complaint involving a subject refusing to pay for services rendered.
April 25
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call that plotted there. Officer did not locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the Lincoln House for a parking violation in a handicapped spot. Subject had permission from a tenant to park there for a few minutes to load an item.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of East Division St to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a battery complaint. A group of juveniles had reportedly battered another juvenile at Wiley Park. Officer was not able to locate the suspects.

April 26
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street to check the welfare of a subject laying on the porch. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Exchange Street for an activated medical alert pendant. The pendant had been placed in the mail earlier in the day to be sent back for repairs. This was a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 2nd Street for a theft / civil property dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4th Ave for a verbal domestic dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Morgan Road for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was a pocket dial.
April 27
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 1st Ave for a theft complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 8th Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to meet a subject at the Galva PD in reference to being terminated from a job at a local business. They were advised it wasn’t a police matter.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 5th Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was returned to it’s owner.

April 28
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 4th Street for a disoriented subject walking around and talking incoherently. Subject was transported to hospital by a family member.
Officer assisted a citizen at the Galva PD who had questions about regulations for child safety seats.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 4th Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was flagged down by a citizen who had a complaint in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street. Officer was able to assist the subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of South Exchange Street for a domestic disturbance that had occurred elsewhere. This remains under investigation.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 6th Ave for an ongoing neighbor dispute.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with 2 separate accidents north of town at approximately the same time.
April 29
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 6th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental dial.
Officer was dispatched to a two vehicle accident with damage only at the intersection of Main Street and NW 2nd Ave. A crash report was completed.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a loud noise complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave for a landlord / tenant dispute.
April 30
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 3rd Street for a physical disturbance involving juveniles with weapons. This remains under investigation.
