June 26
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 5th Street to get a couple parked cars moved for a detour route.
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave for a domestic disturbance. It was determined to be a verbal dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of West Division Street to speak to a resident about a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2nd Street for a telephone harassment complaint.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 6th Street for a suicidal subject. The subject was transported by ambulance for treatment / evaluation.
Officer was dispatched to assist a citizen in the 00 block of NE 4th Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave for a domestic disturbance.
June 27
Officer went to the 800 block of West Division Street to speak to a resident about a property line dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a disturbance / prowler complaint. The complaint was unfounded. The caller was suffering from a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of South Center Ave in reference to a juvenile complaint.
Officer spoke to a subject by telephone about a civil property dispute.
June 28
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SW 7th Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded.
Officer assisted Stark Co Medic west of town with a female having a seizure.
Officer was notified by a Henry Co deputy that they clocked a motorcycle well over 100mph approaching Galva from the west. The motorcycle passed through Galva at very unsafe speeds. Officer did not pursue.
June 29
Officer spoke to a subject about how to get their vehicle out of police impound.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of Exchange Street, Richard Petty, 38, Toulon, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for no insurance and operating of uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of South Center Ave for a young child that had gotten out of the house and was walking away. The child was returned and DCFS was notified.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
June 30
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 4th Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 2nd Street for a fireworks complaint.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1000 block of SW 2nd Street, Mekenzie Crummer, 23 Galesburg, was issued citations for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle After a K9 indication on the vehicle, a passenger, Nathan Eck, 29, Galesburg, was arrested for possession of cocaine as well as a Warren County warrant for burglary and a Henry Co warrant for possession with intent to deliver cannabis and possession of cannabis 100 to 500 grams. He was taken to the Henry Co jail.
Officer was dispatched to a residence east of town for a juvenile suicide attempt.
July 1
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 3rd Ave for a loud music complaint. The subject turned it down.
Officer was dispatched to a fight in the 300 block of Front Street. The victim declined to prosecute.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 3rd Ave for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a subject having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street to remove an unwanted subject. The complaint was unfounded. The caller was suffering from a mental health crisis.
July 2
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2nd Street for a prowler complaint. The complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 4th Ave for a suspicious activity complaint. A subject was reportedly running alongside a moving vehicle and yelling for help. Officer was not able to locate pedestrian of vehicle in the area.
Officer was dispatched to assist the ambulance on NW 8th Street after a subject accidentally took too much medication.
