July 17
While patrolling, officer located a disabled vehicle near the intersection of SE 4th Street and SE 5th Ave. The occupant had help on way to assist.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a welfare check. A neighbor advised they heard a subject yelling for “help.” Officer located the subject, who advised he had been singing in the shower and was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of South Center Ave for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 2nd Ave to check on a Henry Co Probation Officer that wasn’t answering status checks. The officer had already left and was fine.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 7th Ave for an activated medical alarm. Officer entered the house and determine d it was a medical emergency for a subject that had fallen. They were transported by ambulance.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 3rd Ave for a loud music complaint. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 2nd Street for a fraud complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 6th Ave for a physical domestic disturbance that had just occurred. As the result, Robert Morris, 36, Galva, was arrested for felony domestic battery (with prior convictions) and resisting or obstructing a police officer. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad tracks for a crossing arm that had apparently been struck by an unknown vehicle. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
July 18
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a complaint involving an illegally parked vehicle. The resident advised the car had been sold and was to be picked up within the next couple hours.
Officer was dispatched to a disturbance involving a handgun in the 500 block of West Division Street. This case remains under investigation.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 6th Ave for a semi truck parked along a posted 5 ton roadway. The owner was advised to move it.
July 19
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 2nd Street for several 9-1-1 calls reporting subjects window peeking. The subject was suffering a mental health issue.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 9th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a young child playing with a sibling’s phone.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4th Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was flagged down and handed a cell phone that had been located on NW 1st Ave.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 4th Street for a trespassing complaint.
Officer, along with the fire dept, ambulance, and Henry Co, were dispatched to Route 34 just east of town for a fully engulfed vehicle fire.
July 20
Officer spoke to a utv operator near Washington Park about following all of the rules of the road.
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. Officer directed traffic until BNSF responded for repairs.
Officer spoke to a resident in the 300 block of NW 6th Ave about having an overweight vehicle on a posted 5 ton road.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Center Ave, Kody Beller, 28, Galesburg, was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a r required court date.
Officer assisted a motorist in the 900 block of North Center Ave in reference to a lock out. Contact information was provided for an area locksmith.
July 21
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of West Division Street to provide traffic control while subjects poured concrete near the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street for an activated panic alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 9th Street to assist a citizen with gaining access to a residence that had recently burned in a fire.
Officer was dispatched to assist a citizen in the 800 block of NE 2nd Street.
July 22
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NE 2nd Street for a possible prowler complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of West Division Street to check on a subject wearing dark clothing that was walking. Officer spoke to the subject.

July 23
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street for a wild animal complaint involving a raccoon near a parked car. The animal eventually moved along.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of South Center Ave for a verbal domestic dispute.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9th Street to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 1st Street for a wild animal complaint involving a dead rabbit on the sidewalk.
As the result of follow up to an incident involving a firearm on July 18th, Warren Anthony, 70, Galva, was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was released with a required court date.

Nathan Lyday, 34, Galva, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 300 block of North Center Ave.
July 23
A 17 year old Galva resident was issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign in the 200 block of SW 6th Ave.
