August 28
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 1st Street to assist the Galva Street Dept with getting a vehicle moved from the edge of the roadway for road repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 3rd Street for a possible water main break. It was determined to be a water service line to a residence. The Galva Water Dept was contacted to shut water off.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on Swank Street to follow up on a social media complaint involving a juvenile.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 1st Ave for a disabled electric wheelchair in the roadway. Officer was able to push the subject back to the Lincoln House to re-charge it.
August 29
Officer spoke to a subject by telephone about a social security scam that had been reported last week.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of NW 7th Ave for a complaint involving an aggressive dog that got loose a few days earlier and ran after a neighbor. The dog owner was warned about the Illinois leash law.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 5th Ave for an abandoned bicycle complaint. It was in very poor condition and was disposed of.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of Wallace Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner was looking for the dog in the area. It was returned to her.
August 30
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Market Street for a possible theft complaint. Upon further investigation, the item in question had been given to the subject and was not stolen.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 7th Street for a city ordinance violation for burning on a non-burn day. The small fire was put out.
Officer was dispatched to meet a subject at the Galva PD to report a two vehicle accident-with damage only that occurred about 3 weeks earlier. The subjects were not able to work out payment arrangements amongst themselves and needed a crash report for insurance purposes.
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street for an audible panic alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
August 31
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4th Ave for a complaint involving a neglected dog. The dog appeared healthy.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street in reference to threats and harassing phone calls and text messages.
September 1
As the result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of SE 2nd Street, Katherine Bricker, 47, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration was suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 mis dial call. A resident was having phone problems.
Officer was flagged down by a subject in the 1100 block of NW 3rd Ave in reference to a juvenile refusing to return home with a parent. Crisis intervention was contacted and responded to find a resolution.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 2nd Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a single vehicle rollover accident with injuries about 2 miles east of town on Route 34.
Officer checked on a suspicious vehicle that was parked in the 00 block of NW 3rd Street. The subject was having car problems.
September 2
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 2nd Ave to assist a citizen.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of West Division Street, Aaron Aultman, 24, Washington, IL, was arrested for possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. A passenger, Rafael Hernandez-Ramirez, 23, Washington, IL, was arrested for possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger. Both subjects were released with required court dates.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a loose dog complaint. Officer located the owner nearby and the dog was returned.
Officer was dispatched to the Galva Cemetery for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The subject was visiting a gravesite.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 2nd Street for a complaint involving a dog that bit a subject walking past.
September 3
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 1st Street for a domestic disturbance and child custody dispute. The children were exchanged without further incident.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 2nd Street for a theft complaint.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street, Tonya Rose, 55, Galesburg, was arrested for speeding 26-35mph over the posted limit. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 2nd Street for a traffic complaint involving open alcohol and drugs being seen. Officer was not able to locate suspect vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 7th Ave to check a vacant residence that had lights on. Officer checked the residence, not finding anyone. The officer secured the doors.

Cornelius Stanley, 53, Galesburg, was issued a citation for not having valid registration in the 1000 block of SW 2nd Street.
