Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was a subject having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NW 2nd Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was confirmed to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 5th Street for a disorderly conduct complaint involving harassment through electronic communications.
Officer was dispatched to the railroad tracks on SW 6th Ave for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 4th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
October 31
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4th Ave to remove an unwanted subject.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 1st Ave for a juvenile complaint.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on Route 34 just east of town for a suspicious activity complaint involving a possible prowler. Nobody was found in the area.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street, James Lasenby, 22, Hobart, IN, was arrested for illegal possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
November 1
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a disturbance involving strangers inside the residence. Nobody was found. The caller appeared to be suffering from a mental health crisis.
While patrolling, officer recognized a subject that he believed may have warrants. After verifying, a traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of NW 1st Street. As the result, Carl Porter, 46, Wyoming, was arrested on a no bond warrant from Henry Co for possession of meth and home repair fraud. He was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 2nd Street for an activated panic alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to the Lincoln House for a complaint involving the smell of fire or smoke. A plug-in air freshener was found to be over-heating.
Officer was dispatched to a physical domestic dispute on NE 3rd Ave involving a mother and daughter.
Officer was dispatched to a parking complaint in the 100 block of NE 9th Street. The vehicle was moved.
November 2
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 2nd Street for a dog bite-public complaint. The dog belonged in the neighborhood and was current on vaccines.
Officer spoke to a subject by telephone about a theft that occurred at the Galva Cemetery.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of Wallace Street to assist a motorist with a flat tire.
November 3
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3rd Ave for a possible theft of fuel from a parked vehicle. The complaint was unfounded.
Officer was dispatched to the east edge of town to check on a pedestrian walking in the roadway. The subject was given a ride further towards the west.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of SW 3rd Street, Logan McCoy, 36, Galva, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration is suspended for no insurance and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
November 4
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of SE 2nd Street, William Bradley, 75, Roseville, was cited for operating a vehicle when registration is suspended for no insurance, and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of South Center Ave and SE 5th Street for a city ordinance violation. The complaint was unfounded.
While patrolling, officer noticed that all railroad crossing were blocked by a stopped train. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
November 5
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
