October 31
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 1st Street in reference to a burning complaint. Monday is not a burning day, per Galva ordinance. The fire was put out.
Officer parked on NW 3rd Ave to hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters in the area.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NE 2nd Street for a complaint involving a missing juvenile. The subject returned home.
Officer checked on a suspicious vehicle parked in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street after closing hours. The driver was waiting for a friend.
November 1
As the result of a traffic stop on Morgan Road near NW 3rd Ave, Autumn Ince, 39, Kewanee, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, driving while license suspended, no insurance, and operating a vehicle with suspended registration. She was taken to the Henry Co Jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a report involving theft over $500.00.
Officer was dispatched to the north end of town to watch for a reckless driver on Page Street that had a small child sitting in their lap. Officer did not locate vehicle.
Officer was notified about water coming out of the ground in the 700 block of NE 1st Ave. It was determined to be a water main break. The Galva Water Dept was notified for repairs.
November 2
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Morgan Road in reference to a child custody dispute.
Officer was notified about a motorist assist in the 800 block of NE 3rd Street for a subject who locked their keys in the vehicle. They were referred to Tarletons for assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SW 5th Ave for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street for a disorderly conduct complaint involving phone threats from juveniles.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NW 1st Street for a complaint involving juveniles loitering near the residence. They were advised to move along.
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad crossing for a vehicle that attempted to turn eastbound there and got stuck on the railroad tracks behind Veterans Park. Tarletons were able to remove the vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to an activated burglar alarm in the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street. It was a false alarm.
November 3
Officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street for an activated burglar alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to 500 block of SE 5th Street for a low speed vehicle inspection.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 6th Street for a loose dog complaint. The owner was notified about a hole in the fence.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Exchange Street and Front Street for a 2 vehicle accident. It was determined to be a very minor scratch. The drivers exchanged insurance information.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2nd Street for a report of heavy smoke in the area. It was determined to be a resident burning leaves.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of North Center Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later released to it’s owner.
November 4
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 3rd Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog was impounded and later released to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street for a 2 vehicle accident with very minimal damage. The drivers exchanged information. No crash report was completed.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 1st Street for a violation of an order of protection.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a physical domestic disturbance. This case is pending.
November 5
Officer was dispatched to Route 34 east of town for a report of several power poles broken off and wires down, due to the high winds. Ameren was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a young child playing with a phone.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 4th Ave for a complaint involving a car being egged.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a motorist assist.
November 6
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with a motorist assist just north of town.
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street for a report of a loud banging sound. Officer checked the area, but did not locate the source.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD in reference to an issue with a sibling.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with a domestic disturbance on Route 34 two miles west of town.

Luis Enriquez-Viera, 40, Monmouth, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street.
November 1
Marilu Bonilla, 52, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 100 block of SW 2nd Street.
Isabel Benito-Lopez, 57, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 100 block of SW 2nd Street.
Richard Shambaugh, 55, Spring Valley, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
November 3
Linda Gaard, 51, Altona, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 200 block of SE 2nd Street.
