December 26
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of SE 2nd Street, Reina Cap De Villa, 55, Lafayette, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, having an obstructed windshield, and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 6th Ave for a utilities complaint. Officer found two broken water pipes and shut water off to the house until a plumber could make repairs.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NW 7th Ave for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 6th Street to assist Knox Co with attempting to locate the registered owner of an abandoned vehicle. Contact was made.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 2nd Street for an out-of-control juvenile complaint.
Officer assisted Stark Co Medic at a residence on NE 6th Ave for a medical emergency involving a possible heart attack.
December 27
Officer noticed that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings for over an hour. BNSF was contacted the train eventually moved along.
Officer was notified about a repossession taking place in the 00 block of SE 4th Street. The vehicle was recovered without any issues.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of West Division Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was located by it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 1st Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 2nd Ave for an activated alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
December 28
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NW 1st Street for a stolen vehicle complaint. The vehicle was entered into LEADS and NCIC and was located by Peoria PD unoccupied two days later in Peoria.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 3rd Street for an aggressive dog attacking another dog was chained up outside. Officer returned the aggressive dog to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 1st Street for a complaint involving criminal damage to a vehicle. It is believed that an unknown person tried to steal this vehicle that was “warming up” and unoccupied. Damage was noted, but the vehicle was not able to be taken.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NE 4th Street for a civil property dispute involving a vehicle that was loaned to a subject and not returned, as agreed upon. Arrangements were made to get vehicle returned to it’s rightful owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 2nd Ave for a theft complaint. This remains under investigation.
Officer was flagged down in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street for a motorist assist involving keys locked inside a vehicle. Tarletons Service Inc. were contacted and were able to unlock the doors.
December 29
Officer was dispatched to meet a resident at the Galva PD in reference to turning in a lost cell phone that had been located.
Officer was dispatched to a disturbance in the 00 block of NE 4th Street in reference to receiving a new trash can.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NE 2nd Street in reference to a disturbance complaint in reference to receiving a new trash can.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was an accidental pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 8th Street in reference to a complaint involving items left in the yard by an unknown person.
December 30
Officer was dispatched to Sentry Estates for a telephone threats complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 6th Ave for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be a mis dial.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street, Gabriella Ingram, 18, Galesburg, was arrested for driving while license suspended. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to a verbal domestic dispute in the 400 block of SE 7th Ave.
Officer noticed that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossings. BNSF was contacted and train eventually moved along.
December 31
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of North Center Ave for a complaint involving a car alarm going off for the past 4-5 hours.
Officer was notified of a disturbance involving a possible firearm in Stark Co and subsequent vehicle pursuit. Galva officer went south of town with spike strips but was not able to locate suspect vehicle, who lost sight of the pursuing officers.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 7th Street for a loose dog complaint. The dog was taken to impound and later returned to it’s owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 6th Ave to assist a citizen who had a water leak. Officer shut water off to the house and advised resident to contact plumber.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of SE 1st Ave, Blake Frampton, 29, Galva, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.

As the result of a traffic stop in the 900 block of North Center Ave, Teresa Sanchez, 37, Kewanee, was arrested for operating a vehicle with suspended registration. She was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 7th Street for a 9-1-1 call that was made. It was determined to be a mis dial.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street, Karysa Taylor, 28, Kewanee, who was the passenger in a vehicle, was arrested on a Henry Co warrant for failing to appear on the charge of driving while license suspended. She was unable to post bond and was taken to the Henry Co jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 11th Street for a stray cat complaint.

David Graver, 77, East Moline, was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of West Division Street.
Maurice Thompson, 30, Kewanee, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
January 1
Amie Stutler, 35, Kewanee, was issued a citation for operating an uninsured vehicle in the 400 block of South Center Ave.
