February 20
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of SE 4th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of South Center Ave for a loose dog complaint. Officer checked the area but was not able to locate.
Officer was notified that a repossession was taking place in the 800 block of NW 1st Ave.
Officer located an unsecured door at a business on Front Street. The door was secured.
Officer was flagged down to assist a citizen in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street.
February 21
Officer was flagged down in the downtown area to attempt to locate two dogs that ran away. Officer located the dogs in the 200 block of NW 4th Street and they were returned to their owner.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Exchange Street in reference to a trash dumping complaint. The offender was located and warned.
February 22
Officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of North Center Ave for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was a misdial from a high school student.
February 23
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 4th Ave for two 9-1-1 hang up calls. It was determined to be an employee of the phone company conducting test calls.
Barry Cade, 30, Neponset, was arrested at the Galva Police Department on a Peoria Co warrant for failing to appear on a civil case. He posted bond and was released.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a verbal disturbance / harassment complaint.
Officer, along with his K9 partner, were requested to assist Stark Co with a traffic stop north of Lafayette. Contraband was located and Stark Co made an arrest.
February 24
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 1st Ave to check the welfare of a subject that hadn’t shown up for work. The subject was located and was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of SE 8th Ave for loose goats in a field.
February 25
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NW 3rd Street for an activated panic alarm. It was determined to be a false alarm.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 1300 block of SE 2nd Street, Drew Smith, 33, Kewanee was arrested for driving while license suspended. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 2nd Street for a minor two vehicle crash with damage only. The subjects involved decided to work out the damages among themselves.
February 26
While patrolling, officer located a sick or injured cat near the roadway near the park district on South Center Ave. The cat was taken to Stevens Vet Clinic to check for microchip info.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 3rd Street to remove unwanted subjects.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NW 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. It was determined to be an accidental mis dial.
Officer was again dispatched to a residence on SE 3rd Street to remove unwanted subjects.
