April 15
Officer was dispatched to assist the ambulance with a medical emergency at a residence on SE 4th Ave.
Officer spoke to a subject by telephone about information pertaining to a missing person case in Kewanee. The information was forwarded to Kewanee PD for follow up.
Officer, along with the fire department and Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a 2 vehicle accident on Route 34 near Midland Road. It was determined to be a false alarm.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 3rd Street for a complaint involving threats by telephone.
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad crossing for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 5th Ave for a dog bite complaint. A dog had bitten their owner. Very minor injuries reported.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 8th Ave for a barking dog complaint.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for an ongoing neighbor dispute.
April 16
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 5th Street for a child custody dispute that resulted in a battery.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Burlington Road for a 9-1-1 open line complaint. Officer checked the area and was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
While patrolling, officer noticed that a train had stopped and was blocking all Galva crossing. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of South Center Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up complaint. Officer checked the area, but did not locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street for a barking dog complaint. After getting no response at door, Nicholas Yelm, 52, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for noise violation relating to the barking dog.
April 17
While patrolling, officer saw a train stopped and blocking several crossings. Officer assisted several vehicles with directing them to open crossings.
Officer went to dozens of residences to follow up on various ordinance violations. Copies of the ordinances were left and residents were spoken to about their intentions.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of South County Road at 2150 East to check for a suspicious vehicle that was soliciting in the area. Officer was not able to locate suspect vehicle.
Officer was dispatched to Wiley Park for a verbal disturbance involving several juveniles.
April 18
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of NW 1st Street in reference to a disorderly conduct complaint involving a neighbor calling and harassing them. A report was forwarded to the State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of NW 3rd Ave to assist a citizen.
April 19
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SE 2nd Ave for a solicitation complaint. The subjects did not have the proper permit and were instructed to cease their actions.
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD to complete their yearly sex offender registration. A copy was emailed to Henry Co for LEADS entry.
Officer assisted Henry Co with serving a civil stalking-no contact order in the 600 block of NW 1st Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of NE 1st Street for a reckless driving complaint.
April 20
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of East Division Street for a possible water main break. The Galva Water Department was notified to respond and complete repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 5th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be an accidental pocket dial.
Officer was dispatched to Sentry Estates to deliver a message in reference to a family illness.
April 21
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 5th Street for an activated car alarm. The owner came out and was able to shut it off.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 2nd Street to assist a citizen in located her dog that got loose.

David Driscoll, 34, New Hartford, CT, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.
April 19
Marilyn Winter, 66, Princeton, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.
Roylee Broaden, 38, Lafayette, was issued a citation for operating a vehicle when registration suspended for mandatory insurance in the 100 block of SE 2nd Street.
Curt Burgus, 26, Galesburg, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 400 block of SE 2nd Street.
