November 21, 2022 through November 27, 2022

November 21
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 5th Street for a stray cat complaint.
Officer was flagged down to assist a citizen in the 300 block of Front Street.
Officer, along with the fire department, were dispatched to the 400 block of West Division Street to investigate thick smoke in the area. A structure fire was located in the 300 block of NW 1st Street.
November 22
Officer located a loose dog running in the roadway in the 300 block of SE 2nd Street. It was returned to a resident in the area.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 2nd Ave to assist a citizen.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 6th Ave for a landlord / tenant dispute. A report involving criminal damage was completed.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2nd Street to pick up a set of keys that were found.
Officer checked on a disabled vehicle with a ruptured tire that was left overnight in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
November 23
As the result of a traffic stop and subsequent high speed pursuit that was initiated in the 600 block of South Center Ave, Bryan Calhoun, 58, Galesburg, was arrested in Stark Co after running out of fuel. Calhoun was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting a police officer, reckless conduct, having tinted tail light covers, failure to signal when required, stopping in a marked crosswalk, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, operation of uninsured vehicle, reckless driving, speeding 105mph in a 55mph zone, and improper lane usage. He was taken to the Henry Co jail.
Officer met with a resident in the 400 block of NE 1st Street to surrender his FOID card and firearms after a felony conviction.
Officer assisted a citizen who had questions in the 300 block of NW 1st Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 7th Ave for a loose dog complaint. The dog had ran through an underground, invisible fence. A family member was contacted and was able to get the dog back inside.
Officer was notified that the railroad crossing arm was malfunctioning at the NE 6th Ave crossing. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Swank Street for two loose dogs. They were impounded.
Officer was dispatched to meet a resident in the 300 block of Market Street to impound a 3rd dog.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 6th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It plotted at a cell phone tower.
November 24
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad tracks to check on a subject that was seen sitting on the tracks. The officer spoke to the subject and he moved along.
November 25
Officer met with a resident at the Vet Clinic to release 3 dogs that were previously impounded. The ordinance fees were paid and the dogs were released.
November 26
Officer met with a subject at the Galva PD who was having a mental health crisis.
Officer was notified that all Galva railroad crossings were blocked by a stopped train. BNSF was contacted and the train eventually moved along.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SE 8th Ave for a physical fight between two brothers.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2nd Street for a complaint involving juveniles punching road signs. They were spoken to.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of Exchange Street, Damond Martin, 31, Kewanee, was arrested for driving while license revoked and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released with a required court date.
November 27
As the result of a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Division Street, Anthony Patterson, 50, Peoria, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, driving while license suspended, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, and improper lane usage. He was taken to the Henry Co jail.
Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of NW 8th Street for a welfare check. Nobody was home.
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of NW 3rd Ave and NW 5th Street for a 2 vehicle accident with damage only. As the result, David Haga, 73, Galva, was issued a citation for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop intersection.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of SE 1st Street, Steven Anderson, 22, Colona, was arrested for driving while license suspended, operating a vehicle with suspended registration, unlawful use of a drivers license, operating an uninsured vehicle, and possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. A passenger, Chloe Kelley, 18, Moline, was charged with possession of adult use cannabis in a motor vehicle. They were both released with required court dates.

Landen Beelman, 20, Stronghurst, was issued citations for having an illegally tinted windshield, operating an uninsured vehicle, and not wearing a seatbelt in the 500 block of SE 2nd Street.
Linda Peters, 64, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
Carlos Bretado, 26, Williamsfield, was issued a citation for speeding in the 600 block of SE 2nd Street.
November 22
A 17 year old juvenile from Laura, IL, was issued a citation for not having any insurance in the 600 block of South Center Ave.
November 23
Dana Miller, 39, Oswego, was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of North Center Ave.
November 25
Mansion Kessler, 50, Galva, was issued a citation for stopping in a crosswalk in the 200 block of South Center Ave.
November 26
Adam Frank, 19, Kewanee, was issued a citation for speeding in the 800 block of SE 2nd Street.
November 27
Shane Clayton, 48, Wyoming, was issued a citation for having illegal window tinting in the 1200 block of SE 2nd Street.
Terry Sarver, 50, Galva, was issued a citation for not having valid insurance in the 00 block of Chester Street.
Michael Workheiser, 30, Kewanee, was issued a citation for having an obstructed windshield in the 1000 block of North Center Ave.
