On 10/26/2023 at 6:06 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of E 24th Rd & RT 71. (Rutland TWP) Robert Nies (63) of Aurora, IL was driving north on E 24th RD, negotiating a curve when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. Robert was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was arrested for DWLS, DUI alcohol, Will County FTA/ DWLS warrant, bond $ 5000 10% to apply and a Kane County FTA/ DUI warrant, bond $ 2500 10% to apply. After be treated at OSF Saint Elizabeth ER he was transported to LASCO Jail.
