On 10/5/2023 at 2:09 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of RT 52 & E 1750th RD. (Freedom TWP) Dylan Chaney (28) of Ottawa was driving north on RT 52, negotiating a curve when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the west ditch embankment. Dylan was cited for driving to fast for conditions, improper lane usage, failure to notify police authority and leaving the scene of accident. He was released with a NTA.
On 10/8/2023 at 4:52 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries in the area of N 13th RD & E 25th RD. (Allen TWP) Nicolas Galvan JR (36) of Mazon, IL was driving east on N 13thRD when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a utility pole. He was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident, operating uninsured motor vehicle and arrested for DUI alcohol over .08 BAC. Dylan was later released with a NTA.
