On 9/14/2023 at 5:38 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident car Vs deer with no injuries in the area of N 45th RD & E 21ST RD. (Adams TWP) James David (29) of Ottawa was driving east on N 45th RD when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front right corner of his vehicle. James was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle and released with a NTA.
On 9/15/2023 at 6:13 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with minor injuries at the intersection of N 32nd RD & E 27th RD. (Miller TWP) A 17 year old male was driving north on E 27th RD when he disobeyed the stop sign at the intersection, striking a vehicle traveling west on N 32nd RD. A 16 year old male was driving west on N 32nd Rd when the 17 year old drove through the intersection striking the left side of his vehicle, causing it to overturn. The 17 year old was cited for failure to stop or yield at an intersection.
