On 12/25/2023 at 10:41 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the rea of RT 52 & E 2603rd RD. (Mission TWP) John Banister (52) of Serena was driving west on RT 52 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of his vehicle.
On 12/27/2023 at 10:56 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with injuries in the area of E 11th RD & N 6thRD. (Groveland TWP) A 17 year old male was driving north on E 11th RD when he struck a parked vehicle on the east shoulder of E 11th RD. The 17 year old was cited for failure to reduce speed/accident, illegal transportation of alcohol and arrested for DUI/alcohol. He was released with a NTA. The owner of the parked vehicle, Shelby Park of Dana was cited for illegal parking.

(Peru TWP) Madeleine Hunter (21) of Standard, IL was driving south on RT 251 when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of her vehicle.

(Peru TWP) Kelly Quesse (43) of Tonica was driving north on RT 251 when she struck a deer carcass on the roadway causing damage to the front rite side of her vehicle.

(Eden TWP) Meaghane Iverson (38) of Streator was driving east on RT 71 when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of her vehicle.
