On 1/13/2023 at 5:48 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on N 20thRd 1/8 mile east of E 16th RD. (Farm Ridge TWP) A 16 year old male was driving west on N 20th Rd when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway. His vehicle entered the north ditch, struck a mail box and came to a stop in the south ditch.
On 1/15/2023 at 5:15 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on N 27thRD 2 ½ miles east of RT 178. (Utica TWP) Peggy Schneider (63) of Ottawa was driving east on N 27th RD when a deer ran onto the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of her vehicle.
