On 1/17/2023 at 4:40 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on 36th ST & Peoria ST. (Peru TWP) George Shaw (53) of Spring Valley, IL was cited for operating uninsured motor vehicle and no valid registration. He was released with a NTA.
On 1/18/2023 at 12:49 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on RT 71 @ N 39th RD. (Mission) Brian Shear (59) of Marseilles was cited for speeding 72 mph in a 55 mph zone.
On 1/18/2023 at 7:58 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with no injuries on N 14th RD 200 feet west of E 22ndRD. (Otter Creek TWP) Michael Vanheeswijk (30) of Plano, IL was parked on N 14th Rd facing west and when he put his vehicle in reverse to back up he struck a vehicle parked behind him. Cara Siegel (31) of Champaign, IL was parked behind Michael’s vehicle facing west when Michael backed up striking the front end of her vehicle.
