On 1/25/2023 at 7:35 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on RT 71 ½ mile east of RT 178. (Utica TWP) A 16 year old male was driving east on RT 71 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the south ditch embankment causing damage to the front end of his vehicle.
On 1/25/2023 at 9:30 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with no injuries on N 18th RD ¼ mile west of E 1325th RD. (Bruce TWP) Joshua Alberts (35) of Streator was driving west on N 18th RD when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice/snow covered roadway. His vehicle entered the south ditch striking a fence and fence post.
On 1/25/2023 at 7:00 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident, car Vs deer with no injuries on N 2150th RD @ E 1075th RD. (Deer Park TWP) Lorene Wakeman (51) of Streator was driving east on N 2150th Rd when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front end of her vehicle.
On 1/26/2023 at 2:03 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on N 35th Rd @ RT 23. (Dayton TWP) Jacob Schmalz (22) of Serena was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
